Hello. This message is for any dentists or dentists-to-be who can fix my 62-year-old father's continual tooth problems.
Either you are still in the developing stages and looking for someone to practice on (and thus charge little or no fee), or you are an extremely altruistic professional dentist. Whatever the case, your help would be unspeakably valuable.
My dad is a kind, gentle, and much loved man. He is also poor. He cannot afford to get his teeth properly fixed, and he suffers from regularly recurring tooth aches that debilitate him, keeping him up all night sucking ice to numb the pain. The fact that he cannot eat adequately or even chew his food properly is starting to affect his health as well. His pain has forced him to take too many sick days, and thus lose the income that is so necessary for him to pay off debt. Since 90% of his paycheck goes toward the debt consolidators every month, and the rest toward the cost of living, he cannot save any money, let alone afford any kind of health or dental insurance. The worst part, in his words, is that he cannot give to others or to his church. His own burden is too great.
If you live in or near the Los Angeles area, and are interested in helping restore my dad's teeth, please let me know. As strange as this may sound, by improving his mouth, you would greatly help improve his life and his joy. Thank you!
